It seems that Middle-Aged British women are doing more than brewing tea and crocheting doilies these days.
IllicitEncounters.com, which bills itself as the UK’s leading dating website for married people, has seen a 30% year-over-year increase in the number of 40+ women signing up to the site.
Furthermore, most of these women are looking to share their beds (at least temporarily) with younger men.
The cheating site surveyed a sample of more than 500 married women over the age of 40 who signed up for their service. Findings revealed as many as 25% had an affair with someone 15 to 20 years younger than themselves, 37% have had an affair with someone 10 to 15 years younger, and 16% have had an affair with someone 5 to 10 years younger.
The same survey reports that 86% of the respondents said they wanted to cheat because their marital sex life had dwindled.
If you’re thinking about having a fling with a man who’s 20 years your junior, here are some benefits you can look forward to:
He has the energy to keep up with you both inside and outside the bedroom.
He can introduce you to pop culture. (“The Chain Smokers” is a band as well as a bad habit.)
You can stay on the down-low because he’s not likely to know your friends. (Unless, one of them happens to be his mother.)
Please note, when you cross the generation gap, you may need a translator. If he says he wants to “put the kettle on,” he may not want to boil water. According to the Urban Dictionary, it means “get ready for sex.“
Other benefits? Pitfalls?-
